Cookie and Analytics Notice
Effective Date: July 31, 2026
This notice explains the cookie, analytics, and advertising measurement behavior of the SolveMotive website at www.solvemotive.com.
1. Overview
This notice explains how the SolveMotive website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control them. Essential site features (hosting, security, and the contact form) do not depend on optional cookies. Analytics and marketing tools load only after you give consent through our cookie banner or Cookie settings.
2. Consent Categories
We group optional technologies into categories:
- Essential: Always on. Needed to deliver and secure the website and process contact-form submissions. These do not require consent.
- Analytics: Optional. Includes Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights so we can understand aggregate traffic and performance.
- Marketing: Optional. Includes the Meta (Facebook) Pixel for ad measurement and remarketing on Meta platforms.
Your choice is stored in browser localStorage under the key sm-cookie-consent (not a first-party preference cookie). You can change it at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer.
3. Technologies We May Use
Depending on your consent and configuration:
- Vercel Web Analytics (Analytics): Aggregate route, referrer, approximate country, browser, and operating-system information. Documented by Vercel as cookieless with a request-derived identifier that resets daily.
- Vercel Speed Insights (Analytics): Anonymous Web Vitals and related route, device, network, browser, operating-system, and country information.
- Google Analytics 4 (Analytics): When enabled and consented, Google may set cookies (such as _ga and related identifiers) to measure visits, engagement, and traffic sources. Typical duration is up to 2 years for primary identifiers, subject to Google’s settings. IP anonymization is enabled in our configuration.
- Meta Pixel (Marketing): When enabled and consented, Meta may set cookies (such as _fbp) to measure ads and support remarketing. Durations follow Meta’s documentation (often up to about 90 days for _fbp).
Google Analytics and Meta Pixel scripts are loaded only when the matching category is accepted and the corresponding measurement IDs are configured for the environment.
4. How to Change Cookie Settings
You can manage consent in these ways:
- Cookie settings: Use the Cookie settings control in the website footer (Legal) to reopen Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize.
- First visit banner: Choose Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customize before optional scripts load.
- Browser settings: Inspect, block, or delete cookies and site data in your browser. Clearing site data may also remove the stored consent choice, so the banner can appear again.
- Privacy tools: Browser or extension blockers may still prevent analytics or advertising requests.
5. Fonts and External Links
Website fonts are built and self-hosted through Next.js rather than loaded from Google Fonts when a visitor opens a page. Social-media and other external links lead to third-party sites that may use their own cookies after you follow the link; their notices govern that activity.
6. Global Privacy Signals
Optional analytics and marketing scripts respect the choices you make in Cookie settings. Browser-level Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals are not currently mapped to individualized script behavior beyond those choices and any blocking tools you use.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this notice when website functionality, service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
